How the math works
Each GLP-1 has a labeled titration schedule that gradually raises the dose to allow the body to adjust to GI side effects (nausea, constipation, fatigue). Most schedules increase the dose every 4 weeks until reaching the maintenance target.
The tool computes “weeks since start” from your start date and matches it to the FDA label’s titration table. Weekly drugs (Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Trulicity) follow a per-week schedule. Daily drugs (Saxenda, Victoza) escalate weekly but are injected daily.
If you have side effects
The labels allow holding the current dose for an extra 4 weeks if GI side effects make escalation difficult. Some prescribers slow titration by going up by half-steps or staying at a tolerated dose indefinitely. Discuss with your prescriber — there’s no medal for hitting maintenance fast.
